June monthly program coincides with the celebration of Poson full moon day which marks the arrival of Buddhism to Sri Lanka about 23 centuries ago. We have organized an eight precepts program which includes chanting, meditation and discussions and a Dhamma talk on the above topic. Please plan to observe 8 precepts, to bring a food item or to attend the afternoon

Bhante Yatinuwara Sankichcha  Thero from  Great Lake Buddhist Vihara of Detroit MI is coming to PBC to conduct June Poson  program.
Venerable Yatinuwara Sankichcha Thero

Born in Kandy, Sri Lanka in 1976, Venerable Sankichcha received novice ordination at the age of 15 in 1991. Not long after his higher ordination, in 1996, he moved to Australia where he lived for four years. Ven. Sankichcha moved to Great Lakes Buddhist Vihara in December of 2001. He has conducted many Dhamma Sermons and Meditation Programs over 14 years in USA.
