Non-Residential Meditation Retreat on
Reconditioning Body and Mind through Meditation and Yoga

Friday 19 (7 pm – 9 pm)
Saturday 20 (9 am – 9 pm)
Sunday 21 (9 am – 6 pm)
 
at Pittsburgh Buddhist Center, 58 QSI Lane, Allison Park, PA 15101
 
This annual retreat will integrate mindfulness meditation in sitting, standing and walking periods with simple yoga stretches to help cultivate a sustained awareness of body and mind. Basic instructions, guided meditation and Dhamma talks on  Reconditioning Body and Mind and overcoming challenges in meditation will be included.
 
It is open to practitioners of all levels.
 
Vegetarian lunch and refreshments will be served daily 
 
Registration is free but donations will certainly be appreciated. 
 
Registration is limited for 35 participants for each day. While attending all three days is preferred, you can also register for one of days.

Bhante Yogavacara Rahula is a senior Buddhist meditation teacher.  Born in Southern California he became a Buddhist monk in 1975 in Sri Lanka. He has many years of experience in meditation practice both in communal setting and solitary retreats. He served as the vice-abbot of the Bhavana Society Forest Monastery, West Virginia from 1986 until 2010. He regularly teaches and conducts retreats integrating yoga breathing and exercise with vipassana. He is now serving as the director and guiding teacher at the Lion of Wisdom Meditation Center near Damascus, Maryland.
