Dear Devotees and Friends in Dhamma
 
The full moon day of July (13) marks the beginning of the three-months-long Vassāna period. Traditionally we invite monks to observe their Vassāna precepts and reside in our Buddhist center during these three months. This is a period for both monks and lay followers to dedicate more to the practice of Dhamma and achieve spiritual goals. At the end of these three months, we get the opportunity to conduct the Katina ceremony. On Sunday, 10^th July, Damitha & Padma Karunaratne, key sponsors of this year’s Katina ceremony, will make this invitation on behalf of the whole congregation.

You can sponsor a week of Vassāna period by providing meals and other basic needs of monks and the Buddhist center. We will send out the sign-up sheet for sponsoring each week on Sunday 3^rd July.

1:45 pm – 2:30 pm: Dhamma Talk & Discussion
2:30 pm – 2:45 pm: Meditation
2:45 pm – 3:00 pm: Blessing Service with Pirith Chanting
