Sivananda Yoga is one of the traditional Hatha Yoga forms. Swami Sivananda developed this holistic approach calling it the Yoga of Synthesis. A typical Sivananda yoga class helps encourage proper breathing, flexibility, strength and vitality in the body while calming the mind. It follows a specific order to systematically exercise all parts of the body.  It is suitable for all levels of fitness as there are modifications and variations for all of the asanas for those students who have health issues or are just starting Sivananda Yoga.

Teacher:

Virginia Robson has been practicing yoga for almost 20 years. She did her teacher training at the Sivananda Yoga Vidya Peetham in Kerala, India in 2015. She has been teaching Sivananda Yoga at Green Heiress Yoga in Aspinwall since April 2017.
